Mingcong Pan

I am a political scientist and applied economist who works on the intersection of political economy, comparative politics, and development economics. Especially, I am interested in the formation of identity and cultural beliefs and their impacts on political and economic development. I am currently a joint PhD student in the Department of Political Science and the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in comparative politics and development economics, with a secondary field in political methodology.

Prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin, I received an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA in economics and finance from the University of Hong Kong.
