I am a student of political science and economics, majoring in comparative politics, development economics, and political methodology. Specifically, I am a political economist and identity scholar, which means I am interested in how people make decisions leading to different behavior, and what shapes their preferences in the first place. Contentwise, I study identity, ideology, and culture; and the functional logic of authoritarian bureaucracy and institutions.
A graduate of HKU (BEcon&Fin) and LSE (MSc Econ), I am currently a joint PhD student in both the Department of Political Science and the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
